backlinks
backlinks - External links which point to a specific web site. e.g.: web site "A" contains a link that points to web site "B". Web site "B" receives a backlink.
bounce rate
bounce rate - Web analytics metric representing the percentage of visitors to a web site that exit the site after having viewed only one page. The theoretical ideal is zero but the average is approximately 70%. A high percentage is indicative of issues pertaining to the quality of the content, site structure, or relevance to the search term.

Google's Matt Cutts provides the simplest definition: "Canonicalization is the process of picking the best url when there are several choices, and it usually refers to home pages."
